Bio
Kenzie Pulsifer is a Research Assistant in the Industrial Engineering department at Dalhousie University. Before joining the MARS group at Dalhousie, Kenzie worked on a number of projects on topics including climate change adaptation, climate risks for transportation and infrastructure and community resilience and preparedness in a changing climate.
At Dalhousie, Kenzie is currently working on two projects under the supervision of Dr. Floris Goerlandt which focus on Maritime Autonomous Surface Ships (MASS). In these projects, she will connect with shipping companies in North America and Europe to assess their interest in MASS and with stakeholders to assess risk perception of autonomous vessels. She is also working on the SIREN project with Dr. Ronald Pelot where she will conduct interviews with key stakeholder groups in the marine transportation sector in Newfoundland to assess the disaster resilience of the marine transportation systems in the province.
Kenzie received her Bachelor of Arts in Psychology from Ryerson University in Toronto in 2014 and completed her Master of Arts in Social Justice and Community Engagement degree at Wilfrid Laurier University in Brantford in 2018. Kenzie is interested in research related to social justice and environmental justice.
